Itinerary

Itinerary
1:

DAY 1: CUSCO - PISQACUCHO - WAYLLABAMBA

 

The pick up is in the morning from 5:00 am, we go to the Sacred Valley until we reach Ollantaytambo where we will stop to have our breakfast (It is not included), then we go to km 82 (Piscacucho) where we will register showing our original passports and start our walk, starting first with the presentation of our porters who will go with us and they will deliver their mats that each one will carry with their personal equipment then we will walk for 3 hours approx. until we reach the place of our lunch and then 2 more hours until the first Wayllabamba camp (3000m.snm).

 

Approximate walking time: 05h - 10 km.



2:

DAY 2: WAYLLABAMBA - ABRA WARMI WAÑUSQA - PACAYMAYU

 

This day we will get up very early to ascend for about 5 hours. through the cloud forest and an original stone Inca road until reaching 4215 meters above sea level to the well-known pass of Warmi Wañusqa or dead woman, after taking some group photos and appreciating the landscape we will begin the 2-hour descent to our lunch place and Pacaymayu camp (3600 masl) and then have the afternoon free to rest.

 

Approximate walking time: 6h30min - 09 km.



3:

DAY 3: PAQAYMAYU - ABRA RUNKURAQAY - PHUYUPATAMARKA OR WIÑAY WAYNA

 

This day is known as the cultural day where we will visit several archaeological sites, we have an ascent of 1 hour and 30m approx. towards the second pass at 3900 meters above sea level in the middle of the road we will visit Runkurakay which was a dairy farm or resting place, then we have a descent of about 1 hour. until we reach Sayacmarca (3650m.snm) from where we will appreciate other Valleys in the region, then we continue our way to the point of our lunch in Chaquiqocha, after a break we go to Phuyupatamarca (3600m, s, n, m) our last step, and then descend for 2 hours and 30m approx. Until Wiñaywayna our third camp, where we will say goodbye to our porters at night.



4:

DAY 4: PHUYUPATAMARKA Ó WIÑAY WAYNA - MACHU PICCHU - AGUAS CALIENTES - CUSCO

 

This will be our last day where we will get up very early to get to Machupicchu; the road is calm about 1h and 30min. to the famous point called Inti Punku or Puerta del Sol (2700 masl) from where we will appreciate the Waynapicchu mountain and the Inca City and be able to take the first photos of Machupicchu.

Then we will descend to the Inca City to have a guided tour for approximately 02 hours. Then go to the town of Aguas Calientes to take the return train to Ollantaytambo where a transfer will be waiting for you to direct you to the tourist bus that will take you to the city of Cusco.

 

Approximate walking time: 03 to 04h (depending on the third camp) and 6 km.
