This is a great alternative trail to visit Machu Picchu where the clients can participate in various adventure sports such as biking, rafting, zip-line, experience the jungle with its diversity of flora and fauna and, when posible, visit the relaxing thermal baths of Cocalmayo.
DAY 1: CUSCO-ABRA MALAGA-SAN LUIS-SANTA MARIA.
We will start with our pick up from the hostel at 07:00 a.m. and then go to the bus that will take us to the town of Ollantaytambo where we will have a small stop and then continue with the trip to Abra Málaga, the highest point of our trip and then descend to the Airport and start our descent on bicycles for a time approx. 02 and a half hours to Huamanmarca, from here we will continue our trip by car until we reach the town of Santa María, where we will have lunch and it will also be our overnight place. Likewise, we can optionally carry out the activity of canoeing in the Urubamba river (extra cost).
Note: In case you do not want to make the descent by bicycle, you can do it on the bus, which will always be looking after our passengers.
DAY 2: SANTA MARIA-QUELLOMAYO-SANTA TERESA
After having enjoyed our breakfast we begin our walk ascending to the middle of the mountain to appreciate the jungle valley observing the typical flora of the place such as plantations of banana, coffee, orange among others, then we will continue along a cobbled path and some Inca stairs up to arrive at Quellomayo place of our lunch, then we will continue our way to go to Qocalmayo to the thermal baths (Optional) here we can have a relaxing rest before arriving at our accommodation in Santa Teresa.
DAY 3: SANTA TERESA-AGUAS CALIENTES
Our walk begins at 7:00 am. For 3 hours approx. towards hydroelectric, place where we will have to register to be able to enter the historical sanctuary of Machupicchu and also our lunch place, after a rest we will go to Aguas Calientes or Machupicchu town for 03 hours, here we will spend the fourth night in a hostel with a hot shower . Around 7:00 pm we will have dinner and final arrangements for the most important day of the tour, the visit to the sacred city of the Incas MACHUPICCHU !!!.
On this day you have the option of canopy or zip line to skip the first 3 hours of trekking (Optional - extra cost)
DAY 4: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO.
Very early around 05.30 am we will begin the ascent for an hour and a half of walk to the Inka citadel of Machupicchu and we will have a guided tour for 02 hours visiting the main buildings and important temples of this city, then they will have to return to the town of Aguas Warm to be able to take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then the bus to the city of Cusco.
